Widely known for his striking artwork on the HedKandi albums, Jason Brooks is a master of capturing the essence of glamorous women through his unique fashion illustration style. His ability to capture the female form in a few pen strokes is remarkable.

Born in London, Brooks studied Graphic Design at St Martin’s College before gaining a Master of Arts in Illustration at the Royal College of Art. His clients range from Audi to Saatchi & Saatchi.

Blue + Snow

As snow began to blanket the UK, Blue gets his first real taste of the white stuff.
He has various favourite observation points around the garden, where he’ll sit and watch the world go by. Sitting on his most favoured area of dead Summer undergrowth, he pensively observes the unfamiliar snowflakes falling around him – and on him.

Pint sized Blue

On his first outdoor adventure into the garden (24th Jan 09), you can see how small Blue is, as he seeks reassurance standing between my feet. At just 7 weeks & 3 days old , you can forgive his timidness, which didn’t last long. Now he doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything.. with the exception of a used plastic milk carton!
At routine visit to the vets 3 days after this photo was taken, he weighed in at a healthy 3Kgs.

The Draplin Project

The Draplin Design Co. are more than the sum of their parts. They are design visionaries above and beyond the call of duty. Maybe visionaries is a little too strong, but they understand the soul of design… not just ‘new media’ design, but DESIGN, the sort of design that forms culture.

I seriously recommend you check out the video of Aaron Draplin to see where they are coming from… I have a lot of respect for this guy. He tells it like it is and is a man after my own heart. Oh, and they have an awesome dawg (nav to Gary on their website!)

The Draplin Design Co.

I happened upon their being (DDC) after I bought a new snowboard in Flims, Switzerland. The board kicks ass – a Forum Stomper. I’m not ashammed to say that the design attracted me to it in the first instance. I did a little digging when I got home and discovered that a crack-pot outfit named Draplin designed the graphics. Since then I drop in on their site from time to time, to see what they are up to. I find it a refreshing inspiration; not just the actual graphics, but the attitude of them.
